Project Report Week 7

—what were your specific contributions to your project team this week?

I changed the front facing St. Joe logo I created. Added a flower and changed the text.

I took the logo documents that we had and sent them to the client. I talked with the client on the phone about the filming, and tried to set up a future date to interview a Daughter of Charity that works with St. Joe. I coordinated the time to tape at the San Miguel Location.

I contact the DePaul CDM Cage and ordered the video equipment, I picked up the Equipment from the cage and I am piloting people to the location today.

I logged the video tape that we took last week, and stored it in a final cut pro file.

I also logged the tape for the other team and taught a tiny bit of FCP to them last class.
—What’s going well?

Filming seems to be moving along. We will have a couple of hours worth of footage after today.
—What’s not going so well?

The client has cold feet about our logo now. We have been put off until the 20th. I don’t think this is that bad, worse case we use the old logo and just go from there.

—What are your goals for next week?

Log the tape we get. Schedule a viewing. Possibly film Sr. Marsha. Maybe sit down with the instructor, a few key people on our team and the client with sticky buns and coffee to see if we can get feedback prior to or after the board meeting.
—What resources or help do you need from your project team, class, or instructor?

We need a lab with final cut pro, comfy seats,  and a projector to do a group filming of raw footage and talk about what goes and stays for the final video.

I would love to borrow a mini dv deck of some kind so I don’t have to schedule logging the tape in the labs over the weekend.
